Thread: LOST - The Final Season 6

Question LOST - The Final Season 6

I just watched the trailer on TV for the final season of LOST and I'm giddy with excitement!!

Season 6 is supposed to explain all those mysteries that have built up over the years, like why did that button have to be pushed? Who is John Locke, really? What makes that island tick and what IS that big ol' statue all about??

It would be cool in this thread if you could post about what mystery or secret YOU want most to be revealed. Tell us what you're just dying to find out!!

For me, I hope they explain that weird black smoke monster thing...what the heck is THAT???

Currently I am working my way through season five having missed 2,3, and 4 so while I am looking forward to six I am still working things out in season 5, your question about the black smoke is a good one and I hope to have the answer revealed also but I have hundreds at the moment.

How come in season 5 when they end up in the 70's does the whole push the button thing not exist, as for John and who is he well I am more interested in Ben who is the most scheming and evil if you ask me he seems to know more than anyone else!

rofl the woman who plays her Fionnula Flanagan is somewhat creepy in her own right (did you see her in The Others with Nicole Kidman?) which is very funny seeing as she was the leader of the others in Lost

I hope in season 6 we find out how and why she left the island although in an interview with co-creator Damon Lindelof said that he has a rule of thumb for revealing the programme's key secrets.

"Our rule of thumb is if the characters who crashed on Oceanic 815 care about it, or if the answer is relevant to them, we're going to answer it," he said. "But if it's a mystery that the fans care about that has no bearing on the lives of our characters, we're not going to answer it."

So whether I will learn the answer to this question who knows.

As it is I just watched the final episode of season 5 and wow I wanted to cry when Sawyer lost Juliet it was a brilliant episode and I cant wait to watch season6!!!

Well, the smoke monster mystery has been solved right in the very first episode of season 6!

I don't want to say anything in case you haven't seen it yet, but let's just say it wasn't anything I would have dreamed of...whoa!!!

I can see this getting VERY interesting...

Wow I saw the first two episodes of season 6 tonight and I have to say in many ways I am even more lost

Having see the island under water which was amazing I may add, the bomb it seems worked like Juliet wanted to tell sawyer and yet the likes of Jack and co are still on the island in some alternate reality.

It was cool to see old faces like Charlie and again nice touch though what happened to Desmond who was on the plane and then no one recalled seeing him?

Ok the link between the Monster, The Man in Black, and post-Ajira Flight 316 Locke is definite and wants to go home though where is home exactly its clearly lived there a long time seeing as the ancients built a chamber for it under the temple?
Funny as well that Locke was desperate to stay on the island while the monster wants to leave

And of course we have another mystery it was stated the spring wasn't running clearly and Dogen the Japanese leader cut his hand and noted the spring didn't heal it yet still put Syed in the spring.
Syed dies and then oddly comes back to life but what I am left wondering is what it really him or something else and was it just me or did Miles hear something from the supposedly dead Syed or didn't hear anything and there for knew he wasn't dead?

Another question why did the others want a private word with Jack?

Hopefully all will be revealed at the end, I really hope they don't end it with a crap ending. How cool is this though, start the weekend with Lost and end it with 24 happy days!

The finale was disappointing to me. I loved the way it came together, but I really didn't like the episode itself. There needed to be more explanations because it was too much like one of those "it's a dream" cop outs, and I wanted more. I NEEDED more...

It was not possible to explain everything in 1 or 2 episodes. I think they failed towards the season finale to wrap up everything.
